The YMCA College of Physical Education in its 65 years of service have trained more than 4,500 youngsters in the field of Physical Education. It has also done yeomen service to the marginalized communities in and around Bangalore city also. With its highly trained and qualified faculty, it has trained more students in the area of physical education. As a residential college, having its full-fledged ground, the students have enjoyed their time simultaneously pursuing education; also the college encourages old students to participate in seminars and conferences.

Graduation Day
Graduation Day of YMCA College of physical Education was held on 25th June 2024 at City YMCA. The event marked the successful completion of academic journeys for the graduating students and was graced by esteemed dignitaries, faculty members, students, and their families. Prof. Lingaraja Gandhi, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Bengaluru City University was the Chief Guest. Rev. Dr. P. Sethu, Treasurer, YMCA Bangalore extended a warm welcome to the guests, students, and invitees. Dr. S. Philip Lewis, President, YMCA Bangalore delivered a heartfelt greeting to the graduates. All the students were awarded certificates and watches to all the graduated students. The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. A. Maleques, Principal, YMCA College of Physical Education and fellowship lunch.
Fresher's Day
YMCA Physical Education college Fresher’s Day for the fresh students was organised on 14th August 2024. Dr. Daniel Rathnakar.J, General Secretary, conducted the session. All students participated in the ice-break-game and introduced other friends, names, places, details of parents etc. Hostel rules and general instructions were given to the students.
Teacher's Day
YMCA Physical Education College Staff, Lecturers and students celebrated Teachers Day on 5th September 2024. The student association committee started the program with an invocation song and welcomed the gathering. The principal and staff delivered the teachers day message, cut the cake, and distributed it to all the students.
Basketball Intramural
Basketball intramural was organised on 27th September 2024 between Arjunivas and Bheem nivas team of YMCA College of Physical Education. Dr. Daniel Rathankar.J, General Secretary, YMCA Bangalore was the chief guest and and inaugurated the intramural by tossing the basketball by delivering the speech. Bheem nivas are the organizers; they marked the basketball court, guarded the guest, sang the invocation song, welcomed the guest and made all the arrangements.
Talents Day
On 25th October 2024, YMCA Physical Education students showcased their abilities by participating in the Talents Day event.
Mind Education Session
Representatives from Korea International Youth Fellowship took mind education session for our college students on 17th October 2024. IYF volunteers performed a few dances and entertained the students on the occasion.
Block Teaching Practice
Students from YMCA College of Physical Education attended their Block Teaching Practice at nine different schools in Bangalore from 4th to 16th November 2024.
All India Taekewondo
Two students from YMCA College of Physical Education have been chosen to represent in the All India Taekwondo competition.
BCU 6th Annual Athletic Meet: On 27th and 28th November 2024, college students officiated and participated in this meet.
James Naismith Inter-High School Basketball Tournament
On 27th November 2024, YMCA Bangalore organised an inter-high school basketball tournament. The tournament was inaugurated by Dr. Daniel Rathnakar, General Secretary of YMCA Bangalore. The chief guest for the prize distribution was Mr. Srinivasulu, principal of St. Catharine School. Eight teams participated in the tournament.
Football Intramural
On 27th November 2024, the YMCA College organised a football intramural, and the chief guest to inaugurate the intramural competition was Mr. Valentine Chiku, Nigerian, football coach. Bheem Nivas won against Arjun Nivas.
Leadership Camp
YMCA college students had a leadership cum recreation camp at the YMCA Yellagiri Camp Centre from 4th December to 6th December 2025. During the camp we conducted Camp Olympics games, camp songs, the Queen of Sheba, scavenger hunts, tracking, cookouts, headdress competitions, Camp adventures games etc.
