39TH ANNUAL SUMMER CAMP
The YMCA Bangalore organised “Annual Summer Camp from” on the theme: “Where Skills meet Thrills” from 7th April to 10th May 2025. Various activities were conducted across different branches, including cricket, shuttle badminton, lawn tennis, and basic guitar lessons at City YMCA, while Family YMCA focused on shuttle badminton and Free football coaching was provided for shelter children at Murphy Town. Around 200 children were benefitted in the camp.
Several programs were organized for the campers, including:
- Free Medical Check-up: On April 24, a Free medical check-up camp was held for campers at both City YMCA and Family YMCA.
- Fitness Activities: A series of fitness activities were organized for the campers, including an aerobics session on 19th April 2025, a yoga practice 26th April 2025 and recreational games on 3rd May 2025.
- Workshop on Sports Injuries: On 29th April 2025, the camp children participated in a workshop focused on sports injuries held at the City YMCA. The session featured presentations from Dr. Vijayakumar D., an orthopedic consultant, and Ms. Sherin George, the Group Head of Physiotherapy at Sparsh Hospital , Infantry Road.
- Coaches and Parents Interactive Session: An interactive session for the campers and parents was organised on 10th May 2025, allowing parents to learn about their children’s performance at the camp. Coaches provided valuable feedback on each child’s playing style. The personalized attention and developmental insights were well-received by the parents.
VALEDICTORY FUNCTION: The Annual summer camp valedictory function as organised on 12th May 2025. Sri Deepak Ashop Chougule, Former Ranji Cricket player was the chief guest and addressed the children. Mr. Sunil J King, Member of the Board presided over the function. All participants will receive certificates and trophies recognizing the best campers.
