Children in Crisis Project
STREET CHILDREN RESCUE PROGRAMMES
CIC HOMES: YMCA runs two homes for rehabilitation of street children and three open centres for Children in Crisis.
Societal Engagement programme: 5 students from U.T.C conducted Societal Engagement programme for the Shelter boys.
College Students Internship:
Students from St. Joseph University College, St. Anne’s First Grade College, Goodwills Christian College and Aloysius College visited and completed their internship at CIC Murphy Town Centre.
Children’s day and World Week of Prayer: On the occasion of Children’s Day, YMCA Bangalore organized a program at Children in Crisis Dream Home at K.G. Halli at 12:00 p.m on 14th November 2024. Rev. D. John Prasanna Kumar , Emmanuel Vision Church, Kolar Gold Fields brought the message on the sub-theme “Moving with faith through the storm”. Mr. Chris Ivan Dan, Pianist and Mr. Ifan Samuel , Drummer were the guest artists for the day. The programme concluded with a fellowship lunch.
Medical Camps:
- On 28th March 2025, a Free Health Camp was held in the Coxtown area of Doddigunta. The event was officially opened by Dr. Daniel Rathnakar J, General Secretary of YMCA Bangalore. The medical services were provided by Dr. Jyothi and her team. Approximately 70 to 80 individuals attended for medical check-ups.
